First, create your campaign and select your campaign goal. Once you have filled in the details of your campaign, you can proceed with making a Google Search ad.
Then you scroll to the bottom of your page and select ‘New Google Search Ad’.
Then you will see a screen that allows you to fill in your desired headlines and description.
Please bear in mind that there is a limit on the number of headlines and descriptions allowed.
Google Headline Policies
It is also important to highlight that Google has a very strict policy on what is allowed in their headlines such as capitalization, punctuation, and special characters. If these policies are violated, your ads will not run. You can find in-depth information here.
We also advise you to not include company names in the headline of your Google Search ads. This is because it triggers Google’s Trademark policy and results in a poorly performing ad. Alternatively, you may also get trademark authorisation. More information can be found here.
On the left side of your screen, you can see the preview of your ads. If you click on the arrows, the different versions of your Google Search ad will be displayed.
Once you have completed all these steps, you can proceed and select ‘Create ad’ and the bottom right corner of your screen.
And there you have it! You have successfully created a Google Search Ad.
